Not only is Shaun knowledgeable but he knows exactly what I need to do to achieve my goals. This might turn into a longer review, but it's important and you need to read it. I was diagnosed with back problems and had started taking injections into my lower back to deal with pain. The pain was excruciating. I couldn't walk, cough, sneeze, play with my son, or anything else. Even laying on the floor meant I had to be in a certain position. The doctors gave me LOTS of pills (about 5 per day) and told me to "strengthen my core." Then I found SF Training and Shaun. I told him my situation and we began a regimen to strengthen my core. Shaun knew how to adjust every exercise to get the most out of my (very out of shape) core. This was done so that I wouldn't get hurt, and it worked like a charm. Almost immediately I felt less back pain and was able to reduce my medication. I'll go weeks only taking 1 pill, instead of 5 per day. And in the unfortunate times that I miss a week, my back pain comes back. I've been with Shaun for months, and I know he's the best. I can't say enough good things about him. Give him a chance and you'll be amazed.
Shaun is a fun, energetic coach who really caters his training style to you and your wants/needs. I originally reached out to him for some help getting back into working out after having a baby and foot surgery. Shaun is great at creating challenging workouts and coaching you through them so you can do them with confidence. He is also skilled at assessing issues with form/body mechanics and providing a variety of cues or modifications to fix any issues he notices. Lastly, he keeps you accountable, but also doesn't make you feel bad when you’ve skipped your mobility work for the third day in a row. After just a few months of working with Shaun, I feel stronger than I did pre-pregnancy and always leave my training sessions with him feeling strong and confident.

Shaun was such a pleasure to work out with - truly! I have attended many group exercises classes at my former gym and Shaun was a personalized and amazing teacher! He checked in on every single participant many times to ensure everyone was going at the right pace for their comfort and level.
